Jennifer Lopez has praised a New Zealand dance group featured in her new music video.

Auckland's all-female eight-strong ReQuest hip-hop crew are back-up dancers in the new song Goin' In by the singer.

She said working with the group was her favourite part of making the video, which also features rapper Flo Rida.

She told MTV she had seen ReQuest on YouTube and she got them in to rehearse for her tour, before deciding to have them appear in her latest video.

"I always have guys dance with me but I thought it would be so much fun to dance with these girls,'' Lopez said in an interview with MTV.

"They're so tight, they're like amazing dancers."

Lopez said there were a lot of things the group had to arrange to be in the video.

"They're from New Zealand so the flight alone was a big deal. We brought them to Los Angeles and then we had to extend their visas, there was all this stuff that they had to do to be in the video. But I think it was worth. I think they're great," Lopez said.

In May, ReQuest performed on the final episode of American Idol with Lopez who was a judge on the talent show.
